So Lidgebaby isn't Gavyn?? I always thought that was a good theory! And I'm sad that Elf's parents and Brydda's parents didn't know each other. And Ariel isn't Salamander... always thought it was a bit too much for him to do!

And yay that Elf and Rushton get bonded in the last book! I don't care if it's mushy and romantic... that's excellent! And Dameon will get over it... he'll DIE to save Elf... mwahaha

Yeah.... I'm curious too... surely IC meant October NEXT year... as in October 2006??? Most of us know that she hasn't actually written the book yet. I'll absolutely be going to the launch. It's going to be amazing! The biggest Obernetters meet ever!!!

Thank you! And I just did a bit of an internet search and found something else about IC's visit to the school on Monday. I think it's from Carmody Online (so all credits to them!)

This is what it said:

Well today was the day where IC came to my school and what a great day it was. At morning tea (whilst all the visitor schools were still inside the hall) a few of my friends and I went to the foyer to talk to IC. There was absolutely no one there so we spent the whole of morning tea talking to her (we kind of rejected poor Kim Wilkins) and found out quite a bit. Now I know this may disappoint a few because it's not this year, but at the moment IC is partly through the writing of The sneding and is due out next year! It is centred arounf Elspeth's quest and the freedom of the beasts. Kella and Domick are getting back together (at the moment. She doesn't know if it is for certain yet, but she definately wants them to!) and IC really wants Elspeth and Rushton to bond! She does want a happy ending, but, once again she isn't sure. Dragon is eventually going to remember all that she has forgotton and she is not certain yet if Jes is dead. Originally he was, but everyone has been asking her the question if he was and so now it has changed her idea. Also, The sneding goes more into Ariel's and Rushton's past (I think she said Rushton. Can't remember because my friend kind of squealed!) The H'rayka and the Destroyer are not the same person. She has pretty much confirmed it- "A good guess. That is a very good guess."
She started writing The Legendsong whilst in Paris and frequently visited the tapestries there so she did draw inspiration from the tapestries in France for the legendsong.
All of the animals used in her books have come from her own animals! At the moment she has two (I think) Mr Walker and Toddy.
Her ideas for the different Talents come from everday things;
Empathy- she came up with the idea for empathy from just being able to feel emotions. One thing she said was "It would be a good thing for the world to have empathy talents."
Farseeking- farseeking she came up with as just a way to communicate (like with mobiles) over a long distance. She was speaking at a school and all the boys looked the same (hair, uniforms etc.) and she pointed to a boy and said "For example, his name is Mathew," and everyone looked shocked because by chance the boys name was Mathew and so now she has a reputation at that school as a telepathic (or farseeker! hehe). Also when she was little, she wished (as many of us have) that she had telepathic abilities and so she would sit in class and look at someone and say "Pick up the pen, Pick up the pen," but because it was in class, people always picked up pens and so she was never sure as to whether or not it was her.
Didn't catch the rest. Sorry.
In Ashling- her first intention with the Battlegames was for the Misfits to win as they were superior but as she was writing it she thought to herself "What am I doing. They are meant to lose," because even though they were superior, they had morals and so this affected what happened in the end.
Well this is all I have at the moment, anymore I can think of, I will post it. Might I also just add- she has been on CO before and said she loved it. She has read the Fanfiction and said it was really good and I quote, "You know more about me than I know about myself." And this weekend, she will be on this site to answer questions and things but she has been intending to come on for a while but never had the chance and even before today, she was going to come on but when I asked her she said she definately would!
She also signed books!
