I miss Dark Angel. *poutage* I wasn't overly fond of the "freak of the week" path they seemed to take for most of the second season, but by the end, it was just getting really good, and they axed it. Grr.
Sports Night! Anybody seen it? I sometimes think I may be the only person in the country who knows what this show is (I think Seven may have aired it here... once or twice... at about 5am, with absolutely no promotion) but it was. Pure. Brilliance. A half-hour dramedy based around the eccentric personalities behind a late night sports show, written by the creator of The West Wing (ohh, don't let me get started on TWW... grrjohnwellsdie). This was the kind of show that could have you laughing and crying in the space of one episode, usually at the same time. ABC axed it after two seasons because it was smarter than its audience, who were probably sitting there wondering where the annoying neighbour was.
Sigh. Good TV is so hard to find these days.

I miss Buffy and Angel, although technically, Buffy wasn't cancelled. It just ended. But Angel was cancelled, which really sucked, and now I'm looking for retribution in regards to the shoddy finale. That's the worst thing, when a show ends badly.
Did anyone ever watch Cold Feet? That was a show that seriously rocked. And it had the best ending ever.

Actually, it was rats and mice that carried the fleas that carried the plague. I don't know why we're suddenly discussing the causes of the Black Death, but I thought I'd join in anyway.

I had the impeccable timing of becoming a Buffy fan after the series had finished. Heh. I'm waiting on the repeats, now.

Have any of you Buffy/Angel fans managed to see any Firefly, Joss Whedon's new series? It is the extreme of axedness, not only did it not make a second season, it also DIDN'T COME TO AUSTRALIA! Grrrr arg.
Firefly is BRILLIANT! It's very different to Buffy, set in the future on the last frontiers of Space. The characters are a lot older than the teens of buffy, of course and I think it's more subtle, but the characters and dialogue are just as brilliant and engaging. I've seen the first five episodes and REALLY want to see the rest... grrr...

Not to self: If you have a morning lecture, DON'T stay up till 1:00 watching Buffy, NOT EVEN if it's the end of the season and you JUST HAVE to see the last 3 episodes. DON'T YOU TALK BACK TO ME, KAYT! Bad Kayt!!!
(So... very... tired)
THUMP! *being the sound of Kayt falling asleep on keyboard*

Hmmm, I don't really tend to get hooked on series or anything (Buffy, Friends etc - and I have to say that the few episodes of Buffy I have seen seemed to ahve rather weird (kinda silly) stoylines....eeps, sorry - don't shout! Maybe I've just seen some duff ones and missed all the good ones) but I have started to watch CSI a lot...and feel quite sad for it - I fear I may become hooked and it's on almost every night between ch5 and Living...oh dear, I'm becoming a series watcher! Eeeps! *Retracts earlier statement and feels silly*
