i dont think rap artists need to swear all the time in order to be good. i dont think you're listening to it properly. my brother-in-law's brother does rap battles and hes fantastic, it takes a lot of imagination because songs are usually written very quickly where as rock songs can be written at any pace,

and i dont think you can just say i hate all rap, i mean have u listened to all the rap thats out there?

rap to me seems like chanting, like tribal songs before everyone became "civilised" theres a certain rhythm to it that people tend to respond to.

and i do like eminem. listening to his songs is like reading his diary or soemthing because that what hes doing. hes telling you all exactly how he feels, and all the built up anger inside is released with the song. i think everyone needs that kind of release and better that it be in song than by bashing some poor female up. to violence against women, australia says no!

im going to agree that theres good and bad rap. eminem tends to have well crafted lyrics, i dont nesecarily agree with what hes saying but the way he puts it together is well done, and not all of its just swearing his head off. he does some really cute stuff like "my dads gone crazy", well that might be his daughter doing the cute stuff, and hallies song is really sweet. but yeah i have to agree his music is more like releasing his feelings and doing things he may feel like doing in song rather than real life. im not saying hes a good person, just a good writer.

I do like some stuff for example 'The Cats Empire' is something I like and 'Linkin park'. I'm just turned off music that the artist has to curse to get a point across. Rock is all rythum and it dose differ I listen to more the beat and the parts were the music holts only to start once more. Rock has felling as Evenescence is mostly based around there fellings in their life.

In the end I thing we could agree to disagree. I would just like it to be more than 'Ching Ching' and 'Bling Bling'.

To be honest, I have hated basically, all rap I have heard, I've never actually liked any of it. I've hated nearly all the stuff I've heard..

Rap is not music, it's just fast talking, put to a beat. A lot of it doesn't even have any point to put across. eg 50 Cent-'I'm a PIMP'...errm, that's a really great point.
