Everyone thought I'd get put up a grade at some stage in primary school, but my parents didnt want me to. I don't really mind, I quite like my year level and they're usually more erm, how do I say, 'appreciative' of my intelligence than abusive.
For instance, yesterday we were put in groups for our science assignment thingies. Rhiannon was in mine, as soon as my techer had finished calling out she's gone "WE GOT X-TINA!!" to which my teacher responded by going "You will be completing a survey on how much each team member put in and your marks will be effected" which I thought was quite funny...
Also, whenever there's a question no one knos the answer to, everyone just turns to the back where I sit. My friend, who sits next to me, says it's really funny when I'm not there because they all look expectantly at my seat and then look helplessly at each other...

Yeah, it's like that. I'll get answers to Geography homework or whatever, and they'll all gather round moaning, "Alana, help us! We've left it till the last minute... we have no idea how to do it..." really funny. And they'll also be groaning about essays, and I'll secretly laugh cos it only takes me half an hour to write one hehe. Essays r not that bad. The big problem is, I'll also be 15 in year 12, turning 16 after I graduate. Everyone'll be driving asides from me I'll just have to hitch a ride with my friends... hehe. And my parents won't give me a gap year, I'll go straight onto Uni.... joyfullness.

I know how you feel firey-dragon. Everyone expects me to remember the weirdest things. Like in my studies in religion class (it's all objective, critical study btw), usually I remember really obscure things such as the german world for world view, one time I didn't know something, the class gasped and the teacher in mock horror told me to get out of his class room. It was pretty funny!
I will be 20 when the Sending is released, and in my second year at uni... Partay!
btw, Firey Dragon, the down side to not being 18 when you graduate will be the not allowed to go out and get p!ssed factor. (My Theatre Performance Class are having a p!ss up tomorrow after our monolouge exams. we plan to start drinking at 10 past 10 in the morning, HUZZAH)

yah, extremely true. Damn it. Even now, I am only allowed 2 stay up till 8.00. Really, really sucks. I suppose the bright side is that I'll be younger, and therefore will have more of my life to waste when I get outta UNI! hahaha!

fiery dragon! 16 at uni! i cry for you. I mean i KNOW you can handle it smart cookie. But szeriously it will be harder to deal with being younger than in school, especially if you live in at uni.
Plus it's just not na environmewnt for a 16 yr old to be in! i mean uni is NOT HEALTHY for 16 year olds (i know this! one of the first years i mentor this year is 16 and he hates it and wishes he took a year off and has basically bombed out and failed three of his four subjects and got booted form his degree)
I know i sound like my mother (hell i a showing my extradordinary age here, 20! lol) and i know i am preaching but tell your parents that a GAP year is better than going to uni at 16. Also do a GAP year in china or soemthing and learn another language surely they'll allow THAT! lol (Plus how hell coll would THAT bE!)
or do an exchange year before yr 12 or soemthing! lol
getting out of uni at 20 and having the rest of your life to waste is not cool fd! i knwo you could do it and you'd do really well (speaking of such keep an eye out for the PhB program at ANU - go check out the website about it coz it'd be PERFECT for you. and well most of you on here actually)
actualy i don't even know if it IS on the website, but i can email you some info on it
argh i babbling
The stress of exams is getting to me *dies a painful death!*
Oh and... I agree with the chant i want DARKBANE then the sending coz it'll be sadder for the OC to end for me than the legendsong! lol
DARKBANE DARKBANE DARKBANE *chant the invisible masses*

The Darkbane chant geos as so: Da-ark ba-ane Darkbane Da-ark ba-ane! haha! IC, read this one and see what we want. DARBANEDARKBANEDARKBANE! Thanks for the... advice, Kiato! I shall be sure to annoy my mother with these facts *muahahaha* Canna do exchange year, aren't good enough at languages (neways, I don't like German! I'll b skinned if the teacher reads this LOL ) Maybe I could... I dunno, go for a world trip 4 the year and come back 17 and sunburnt for Uni. I dunno, but I think being 16 will suck. Too much stress in year 8 as it is Another smart cookie remark... YAY!!! ;D Miska: I got the "FD" label now! Huzzah! The FD (hehehe)

Really Miska, 'poink llamas' ? Do they say poink or is that their colour? I wanna do my GAP year somewhere cool! I was reading this thing about this person who went to China and taught English in a remote community and stuff, I wanna do that! I learn Chinese now, and they went without knowing any Chinese! I dont think my brother's doing a gap year... He's in year 12 right now, has his frist exam on Monday (because he did English language not mainstream English he didn't start on Friday). Btw, The FD is very cool... Cat

yeah you can do a GAP year teaching english anyhwhere without knowing the language! A friend fo mine did the china thing in a remote village and taught english, and another friend fo mine went to poland and another to Russia!
so you don't HAVE to got o europe, nor even germany and you don't veen have to know a word in the language to do it! I should have gone to Italy! mmmm Venice
